Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some common questions I get asked. If you have any questions about what I offer and my services which is not covered below, please contact me
I WOULD LIKE TO BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION - WHEN SHOULD I BOOK & HOW?
I am usually booked up a month or so in advance. Therefore, I recommend that if you are pregnant the ideal time to contact me is anytime after your 20 week scan. Then I'll pop your due date in my diary and then this allows me to roughly plan my months to ensure I can see you within babies first 7-14 days of arrival.

If you are reading this and your baby has already arrived or is a few weeks old. Do not panic simply message me and I'll see what availability I have.

To provisionally secure a session all I require upfront is a £100 creative session fee.
I'M CURRENTLY PREGNANT - WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A PREGNANCY SESSION?
Congratulations! I generally advise mums-to-be to contact me on or shortly after their 20 week scan. I'll then aim to schedule your session with around 4 weeks before your due date to capture your bump in full bloom. If you are already in your final trimester do not worry - simply contact me and I'll see what availability I have.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PHOTOGRAPH A NEWBORN BABY?
Newborn Photography sessions are best completed within babies' first 5 - 14 days of their arrival as they are at the sleepiest and naturally curled up. If you are reading this and thinking "oh no my baby is already a few weeks old" do not worry! Please contact me and I'll see what availability I have as it is still possible to get those sleepy curled up beautiful images.
WHERE DO YOUR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
My sessions take place at my purpose built, natural light garden studio in Thame, Oxfordshire. I've designed it to create a relaxing, calm & stress-free experience for parents, siblings and baby.

I have lots of parking out the front of my property and a large, safe child friendly garden perfect for little ones to run around in if they need to burn off some energy.
HOW LONG DO YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS TAKE?
My approach to sessions is super relaxed and fully baby-led to create a stress free experience for the baby and parents. This means my sessions typically last anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, changing, settling and soothing. Some babies arrive asleep and remain asleep throughout whereas most need a bit more encouragement.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE MY SESSION?
Upon booking, you will receive a welcome guide which tells you everything you need to get the very best from the session.
ARE SIBLINGS ALLOWED TO THE NEWBORN OR MATERNITY SESSION?
Absolutely! My studio is purpose-built and child-friendly! As Newborn sessions can take up to 3 hours, I fully appreciate toddlers can get restless so I'll always do my best to keep them interested. For periods where they are not directly needed they are welcome to run around in the garden to let off some energy!
