Family Portrait FAQs

Below are some common questions I get asked. If you have any questions about what I offer and my services
which is not covered below, please contact me

1.WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO HAVE AN OUTDOOR FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION?

Nearly all of my outdoor Family sessions take place between April and October as the weather is 'usually' drier, its warmer and the landscape is colourful. In April/ May you can enjoy Bluebells as a pretty backdrop. In the height of summer I offer evening sessions to make the most of the beautiful soft light and is perfect for families with slightly older children. My absolute favourite time of year however is October as I love the gorgeous autumnal colours  and crisp sunny mornings!

2. WHERE CAN WE HAVE OUR FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION?

Living and based in Thame, there are lots of lovely local spots I enjoy using including Cuttlebrook and the Prebendal Field. With the Chiltern Hills just a short drive away I also love making the most of the gorgeous woodland settings and viewpoints. If, as a family you have a special location in mind I am happy to capture moments at places that have meaning and significance to you. . . . this could be your back garden or a favourite picnic spot.

3. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS POOR ON THE DATE OF OUR SESSION?

Do not panic! I will never do a session if the weather is rubbish as I want to get the best result I can for my clients. Therefore, if on the day of out session its forecast to rain, is raining already, is foggy, really windy or freezing cold I will simply rearrange with you at no additional cost. There is no point forcing a session to happen and then having miserable little ones.

4. WHAT DO WE WEAR AND BRING TO OUR FAMILY SESSION?

Upon booking, I'll send you preparation guide which will tell you everything you need to know in terms of what to wear and bring to help get the best result from our session together.
